I first met Arika through my childhood friend Becca! Becca had invited the girls over to ride horses at her home in Princeton. Shortly after having my first daughter and Arika had just had her first a few weeks before mine. I think our girls were a few months old when we had first met. Fast forward to a few years later! 

Here we are each adding to our growing families! I knew once Arika brought her family over for pictures and a cake smash for sweet Waylon we would leave better friends. You have those clients that you make those connections with, It felt like we had been friends for years. Her husband had a ton of similarities to Cyle and I think our parenting style was right in line. 

You can tell Chad and Arika put everything into their little family, and I really love that. I had a pretty good idea what Arika wanted for Waylons cake smash as she was pretty up front with the details. She ordered a cake from Buttercream creations out of Big Lake, MN and it turned out incredible. A custom guitar cake for a really special guy named Waylon! These are probably some of my favorite images to date! It always makes it that much sweet when we are able to schedule the cake smash session on the child's actual birthday! This is my second time doing that this year and I really hope we continue to make it work with future clientele.
